• Attending two birthday parties. Too many birthdays this month. #
• Ignore at your own peril: The Teenagers’ “Reality Check” may just be album of the year. Genius album, even. Gets better with every spin. #
• @lauriebriggs, ah man — I hung out in front of the kettle corn stand for nearly two hours! #

• Turns out that, if you walk between two deaf people conversing, you are rude. Or so I gathered. . #
• I celebrate the person who created plastic stir straws! (But not the man who created modern pizza delivery boxes, whose daughter is a jerk.) #
• “The Stranger” remains what it was 20 years ago: First half is ho-hum Hemingway (whom I don’t care for); the second is introspective French. #
• Next: “The Game Players of Titan” by Philip K. Dick. Remember this being awesome. Written in the 60s, a brighter period for him than the 70s #
