All the Idaho Map a Marketer Needs
Scott Dub is on a mission: Identify the regions of each state that naturally “go together.” For instance, the San Francisco Bay Area — not an official region, but certainly self-identified. Then you can break it down to “The City,” the Peninsula, North Bay, East Bay, South Bay… you get it.
It’s also, basically, an impossible job. Each state? Please.
So I thought I’d help him out by drawing a quick map of Idaho:

You think it’s a joke, and perhaps it is. But the Separatist North and the Mormon East are pretty distinct regions of Idaho.
I mean, c’mon — each region has its own “state fair.” Three state fairs?
Guess you can’t expect much of a state that was basically mashed together from the leftovers of Washington, Oregon and Montana. A state that was named “Idaho” because some senator or congressman thought the word “sounded Indian.”
Don’t get me wrong, I like Idaho. And the best football game ever played was last year’s Fiesta Bowl, won by Boise State. And, uh… oh yeah, my uncle claims that “Idaho and South Africa” are the only places you can find a certain kind of agate. Or quartz. Or some precious stone. I forget.
So there you go. Idaho totally rules. Enjoy the map.
